Day Job: Research & Development Engineer doing color science work associated with Hewlett-Packard Company's digital projectors

Degrees: BSEE Oregon State University, MSEE/CE University of Colorado at Boulder, Part way through Yacht Design/Naval Architecture professional program at Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology

Interests: Fishing, hunting, boat building and design, anything 'Alaska'

Boats I've built:

A Don Hill 16' Standard drift boat

A Don Hill 16' Standard drift boat. Traditional framed construction, African Sapele mahogany on old-growth Douglas Fir frames. Eastern white ash and cherry trim. Got tired of doing all the rowing and 25% of the fishing...sold this boat for $4500 to Herrington Telford somewhere in Alberta, Canada. The boat is now happily drifting for gold medal trout on the Bow River:

Herrington sent me this photo to let me know the boat is going to good use.

Sean's 14' skiff

My 9 year old son Sean and I built this 14' skiff for him. Motorless right now, the rule is that he learns to row and all about boat safety, then we get a motor...looks like we'll be getting a motor this year. He's a great rower and he's passed all his boat safety items for the Cub Scouts. Time to go crabbing...

15' Boudreaux's Pirogue

This is the 15' Boudreaux's Pirogue, a boat that I've designed. I built and tested the proto and never painted it...and it has now been given away to make room for the 22' Tolman Jumbo project. Here's my first pirogue customer and his son in the one that he built.
