Here's what I'm building. The left hand picture is Tim Davis' boat (now owned by Ron Blake of Anchorage, AK) and pretty much show what I am after EXCEPT that I'll change the cabin. The basic style of the cabin will be as shown, but mine will be shortened to allow more room aft for fishing. The right hand picture is of the recently finished Jumbo built by Bob & Bruce T. in San Francisco. The cabin of B&B's boat is very similar to what I will have in mine (note that it is smaller than Tim's, has forward leaning windshield, etc). The standard V-berth design in this boat gives you a full 7' in each berth but I will move the f'w'd bulkhead forward for 6'6" bunks instead and I'll locate the windshield further forward too. Finally, I will likely produce more greatly radiused corners on the V-berth. These changes will result in the V-berth appearing smaller while not giving up the spacious room inside. As I get the design in my solid modeling software for cabin design purposes (Rhino 3D), more pictures and renderings will appear here. Tolman Skiff Links
