Shipping Policy & Downloads

Downloadable Product: All documents are in ®Adobe PDF format. Customers purchasing download-only products will be sent instructional email containing a download URL and user name for logging in. Shortly thereafter, a separate email containing your password will be sent. Logging in at the provided URL will open a page with links to all documents and drawings. Downloading is accomplished by either opening the document and clicking the Adobe Reader Save Copy icon, or by right-clicking the link and selecting Save Target As... or the Save Link As... menu items from the context menu. Important: Drawings are intended to be printed on ANSI-B or ARCH-B sized paper (11x17 inches), and all other documents are intended to be printed on standard letter-sized paper. If you do not have the capability to print on 11x17 paper, then consider either taking the drawings to a local print shop or select the option for purchasing printed drawings instead. Those purchasing printed drawings are given access to the downloadable drawings as well.
Shipping Costs: Unless specially arranged due to special circumstances, a flat-rate shipping cost has already been included in the price of the plans.
Bush Orders: If you are in the Alaskan Interior not served by the US Postal Service, please contact us prior to ordering to arrange shipment. For bush orders, we typically arrange bush mail through Wal-Mart but prices vary, so again ...if you are in the bush, please discuss the order with us prior to purchasing plans so we can arrange appropriate shipment and pricing.
Other Orders: In general, we only ship printed materials via US Postal Service Priority Mail and Priority Mail International. If you would prefer a different shipping method, please either contact us before your order (preferred) or as soon as possible after your order. We really don't have a shipping preference but here in the Fairbanks, Alaska area certain forms of shipping have proven to be less reliable than others. USPS Priority Mail has proven to consistently reliable and cost effective at the same time.
USPS Priority Mail & Priority Mail International: USPS Priority Mail can be shipped with insurance, signature acceptance, and all the options associated with other forms of shipment, although unless otherwise requested we prefer keeping things as simple as possible for all parties. Again, if you have a preference, please contact us at the earliest opportunity so we can serve you more effectively.
We require up to 3 business days to prepare printed materials, and USPS Priority Mail typically takes the following times to deliver your plans:

Alaska: 3 to 4 days
Continental United States & Hawaii: 4 to 5 days
Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, US and British Virgin Isles (etc): 10 to 12 days
