The Prince Rupert
(Click for full-screen image)

In the words of William and John Atkin, this boat is an "Individualized Design for Unregimented Yachtsmen." The Prince Rupert combines the traditional styling associated with the beautiful BC Trawlers of British Columbia, Canada, yet at the same time is a significant departure from them as well. The Prince Rupert sports a flared semi-dory sea skiff full-planing hull which is at once both seaworthy and efficient to operate.

The Prince Rupert, shown here at 26', carries a full house and a nearly queen-sized cuddy cabin f'w'd. This version is the most seaworthy of the 3 Great Alaskan variants, incorporating an elongated house and 7" bulwark f'w'd for water and spray rejection. There is room in this model for a stand-up head, galley, and dining area or saloon.
